Many talents funneled into TV and video

Inheriting many artistic talents from her mother and the love of music, history, and dance from her father, Judy’s life has been devoted to exploring all the arts. She earned a double degree in music and art at the University of Tampa, Florida, in 1988: a B.F.A in art, (Drawing major), a B.A in Music Education (Voice Major),  performing in community and college plays, musicals, and opera. She also received a teaching certificate in art. This was her foundation for teaching, storytelling, and understanding the arts which later gave her an edge in her video and filmmaking career.

In 1989 she moved from Florida back to Northern New England to found her own business, Young at Art. She taught ages 5-12 in a variety of art media in both public and private settings: galleries, after school programs, private homes, artist residencies in schools in New Hampshire and Maine. She also developed Nurturing Creativity Workshops for Child Care professionals and held many classes for adults and seniors.

By 2005, Judy realized her passion became researching her mother’s life story and so ended her free-lance art career to begin What’s Your Story in 2007. With the help of Woman, Work and Community in Maine, the Jewish Community Alliance  of Southern Maine, and the SPC-TV, Judy’s business was launched and the Angels of Austria documentary was born. The movie was finished January 27 and it began showing in movie theaters in January 29, 2008.  Angels of Austria Presentations has been shown to over two hundred audiences since 2008.

By June 2009, Judy realized she needed to move to a more densely populated state, so she moved to Massachusetts where What's Your Story is creating personal history projects for individuals, giving movie presentations with her mother Trudy, making TV shows for HudTV, editing Wicked Good Food, a cooking show, and editing and shooting for Green Marlborough at MCAT TV. She has begun creating a documentary, See What's Whispered: The Legacy of David C. Baker. She loves what she does and is always ready for YOUR challenge.

Trudy is the star and inspiration of What's Your Story and its first movies, Angels of Austria, and Immigrant Dilemma of 1938.

Trudy lives in Hudson, Massachusetts where she paints commissioned oil portraits (working from photographs). Her portraits are amazing and are getting more incredible all the time! She has painted hundreds of portraits over the decades. Trudy’s energy and creativity never stop growing!Trudy's photography, watercolor drawings and early pencil studies from her seamstress apprenticeship years, (1934-38) are included in the Angels of Austria movie. Since she moved to Massachusetts in 2011, Trudy has been lovingly received wherever she goes, especially when appearing with Judy as a speaker during a presentation.
